Short Turn

Another venerable PCC streetcar sits outside, exposed to the elements. It is truly sad on some levels to see these cars left to the elements. Toronto once boasted the largest fleet of these cars in the world, with over 700 of them. Rather than keep a number of them in the fleet like may other North American cities did, Toronto junked their last 300 and kept two for charters. 30 years later, the replacements have universally been declared duds, and we're back to the drawing board, while other cities are refurbishing their PCCs again.
