One of my hypotheses about urban areas is that a city is only as interesting as the graffiti that it has. If there's no good graffiti, it means two things: either there's no interesting artists to go out and do the graffiti, the authorities are too uptight to let these things have some shelf life, or some combination thereof. Think about it and see if it makes sense in your town or city.
